Antonio Bezerra
THROUGH MY EYES
Kissed by the sun and incredibly beautiful! Brazilian photographer Antonio Bezerra shows us what the
world or rather: the world of men looks like through his eyes. And boy, what great men he shows us! They
are young but not too boyish; they are sporty but never overloaded with muscles. They are disarmingly
handsome in a simple and natural way. And Bezerra knows best how to deal with his models’
excellences. His style is classic and his models captivate with their naturalness instead of pin-up poses.
Without any effort or excessive staging these aesthetic photographs celebrate male beauty. Looking at
them you can tell that Bezerra involves his models into the developing process of his work; that he does
whatever he can to make them feel comfortable. The intimacy that his pictures gain thereby is the
heartbeat of his work. A selection of the highlights of Bezerra’s oeuvre is now available for the first time in
the small but stunning photo book THROUGH MY EYES. It’s a book that really lives up to the
photographer’s ambition: creating something personal, something that allows you to sink into it for a
while.
Antonio Bezerra—also known under his pseudonym Didio—was born in Rio de Janeiro and lives in a
small shack in the woods of São Paulo. He studied art, movie and fashion and he photographed some of
Brazilian’s most famous models. His idols are Bruce Weber, Herb Ritts.
